What is the NDIS?

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) provides funding to support people living with a disability. The NDIS allows you greater choice & control over how you access your supports. All NDIS funding is based on reasonable and necessary assessments.

The NDIS aims to deliver life-long, individualised support to Australians living with disability and as we move forward, you’re in control.

How do I access the NDIS?

If you already receive disability support through the NSW Government, you, your family or carer will be contacted by the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) by letter or by phone to confirm your eligibility to access the NDIS. Nothing will change with your current supports while you go through this process.

If you have not received a letter or contact its best you start the access process and call 1800 800 110. A representative will guide you on what you need to do.
